Working-class student Giorgio deGloria has a lofty goal: to become one of the most powerful archmages in the Ringed City and explore the depths of the Crystal Ring Academy, a megalithic dungeon-turned-college at the ancient city's heart. His classmates have repertoires full of rare and lavish spells. The most powerful spell Gio can get his hands on before the first day of school is a paltry uncommon spell called [Reflect].
To distinguish himself, he'll need to survive an endless dungeon full of magic and mystery, navigate a hellish bureaucracy authored by ignorant nobles, and prove himself worthy to the spirits that make the world tick — all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
The young, sickly Irwin has seen nothing but bad luck in his short life. When his brother returns with a magical card for him, his luck is about to change — but not necessarily for the better. Irwin is sent off with a group of youths to placate a group of sorcerers, armed with only a strange utility card granted by his brother and a prayer to stay alive long enough.
A card-gathering story with crafting that grows increasingly central as the series progresses. Slow-paced, starts dark, with a weak-to-strong arc.
Thera is a real kingdom at the crossroads of many other worlds, but with all the augmented-reality interfaces, character progression, and game mechanics that players know and love. Players are sponsored by actual demon lords, gods and goddesses, or Lovecraftian nightmares — and the stakes of the Game are nothing less than Creation itself.
Hector Savage, gamer extraordinaire, comes to Thera confident in his skills. Nothing can prepare him, though, for the schemes of Abyssal Lords, rampaging barbarian ghosts, and a host of nefarious forces who want him dead before he can even make fifth level.
Charlie Norwood, a goblin-exterminating bounty hunter working in the frontier desert, finds herself embroiled in conspiracy when she stumbles across some gnomish warmechs chasing down an elven prince. A fantasy western.

Miles has one obsession in life: magic. He lives it, breathes it, and dedicates every waking hour to it — but the same obsession wears down his body. At the peak of his power, he chooses to rest in artifact-enhanced sleep, planning for it to last months. It extends to centuries.
Miles wakes to an entirely new world: one where magic has become structured and rigid, where mages have traded future potential for an interface — an easier, safer path for novices. The magic Miles knows has slid into legend.
Someone has worked to weaken the world, and they have succeeded. But Miles still lives, and he can do everything this new era calls a myth — and much, much more.
Dying and being reborn in a fantasy world as a hero destined to kill the Demon King is some people's greatest dream. Others, however, may prefer to sit around, relax, take a few naps, and ignore the impending doom.
And if such a hero gets reborn as a cat, what's going to stop them from doing exactly that? Finding a warm tavern home filled with food, gossip, and comfort sounds a whole lot easier than putting in the work to stop a war.

Arvis Godwyn was not a lucky man. Having Grand Marshall Garithos as his uncle and regent of his house was bad enough. Being exiled to guard the ruins of Stratholme was worse. But things truly spiral when he receives news of King Terenas' assassination — delivered in a very unusual manner.
Now armed with a Chaos Gacha Variant System, Arvis must navigate a world unraveling around him.

A comfy slice-of-life adventuring story that occasionally features dungeons. Mostly it is about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup, haggling with the squash seller, or taking care of a neglected garden. It is putting some jam on shortbread biscuits.
And yes, sometimes you go down into the dungeons with your friends, kill monsters, and disarm traps — but when you come out, you find the perfect magic item to give to a local kid who helped you out when your cat was sick. You will have rivalries with other groups, find some dungeon eggs that need careful incubation, and help a friend build a fishing weir.
There is a big world out there, a mostly tame place with lots of magic and even more to do and see.
Sable didn't know what she'd expected from the afterlife, but turning into a giant flying lizard wasn't it. Thrust into a magic-filled fantasy world with an obscenely powerful body, things aren't entirely great: there are hordes of orcs to the north, an immortal undead legion to the south, and fourteen human kingdoms that want the first dragon in centuries dead.
What's more, her [Hoard] and [Notoriety] stats make her stronger the more gold she has and the more people fear her — which explains why dragons in the past were such unsavory sorts. Maybe she can find less evil ways to progress. What are the odds taxes and propaganda can get her where she needs to be?
