SCRAPBOUND A LitRPG Regressor Crafting Fantasy with Base-Building, Stat Progression, and Morally Gray Choices In Book 2 of the Towerbound series, the Scrap Rats finally have a home base—and a target on their back. Dungeon spawn are shifting, guilds are sending spies, and the in-game economy is breaking down. Ren isn’t a hero. He’s a regressor with a potion empire, a bunch of orphans to protect, and just enough foresight to stay one step ahead. To survive, he’ll need to weaponize every crafting edge he’s got—brew synergies, profession exploits, and the hidden rules of the System. Guild management and base-buildingCrafting class min-maxing and economic abuseHidden System mechanics and loophole exploitationDeadpan LitRPG humor grounded in realityOP main character who plays smart, not loud He’s not here to save the world. #3 Super Ren

Goodreads4.53· 905

Book 3 of Towerbound cranks everything up. The Scrap Rats are rising—and so is a world-ending dragon. Ren was just a cowardly alchemist hiding behind potions and excuses. But when a global event drops a world boss into their lap, the guild needs more than a healer—they need Super Ren. Now armed with power, momentum, and the full insanity of his Folo building terrain traps,Silk is harvesting serious credits,Mira setting up heists mid-dungeon,and the dragon? Yeah. She might be high. The Tower is changing. The game is bleeding into the real world. Cookies might be involved. One way or another, Ren’s going to stop being a Stink goblin hiding in the shadows—and become a person the Districts can’t ignore. If you love overpowered MCs, high-stakes team progression, and hilarious mechanics disguised as plot, Super Ren is your next obsession.

#4 Call Us Scrap Rats

Goodreads4.59· 664

Here you are, Book 4.You wanted more dragon action? You’re getting it—bigger, nastier, and ready to burn the world down. Ren’s getting richer, Herald’s in the mix, and the District Historical Society just picked the wrong alchemist and professor combo to mess with. Expect more worldbuilding, nastier politics, and answers to questions nobody wanted—like where the hell a gloom sprite even came from. Oh—and mounts are back. Cheddar the Furious, Muenster of War, and Cheezenado lead the charge in a full-on rat cavalry stampede. It’s a furry carpet of mayhem, and District 1 is starting to look a lot more like… District Ren. Towerbound Book 4: Call Us Scrap Rats delivers everything you want in GameLit, dystopian progression fantasy, and time travel LitRPG—rats, dragons, broken systems, and one cowardly alchemist who refuses to stay down.

#5 Towerbound is Not Just a Game

Goodreads4.64· 472

Alright, where were we? Let’s see… There’s a whole bunch of Scrap Rats. So obviously Ren, the cowardly alchemist, who’s now become Super Ren, caught in this whole progressive fantasy mess of towers and time travel. Mira, a Cryopyre Mage, who runs the Guild—classic LitRPG fire-and-ice power combo. Kanuka, who runs the Patch inside, with the help of Folo. A tinkering genius, who may sometimes put holes in the walls for no reason (because, you know, dystopian future means messy real life). Simms and Davon are also keeping their eye on security. Why? Because… well… those assholes from L7 are still poking around. Ren, though, has recruited the Church of Purity to help spread the message that Towerbound is not just a game—it’s going to merge. At the end of Book 4, they were discussing the possibility of Ren and the Rats taking over all of District 1, not just the Patch. Oh, and don’t forget Marco! He’s got PopCrates. And now he’s setting up secret bases all around the world, ready for when the Tower actually emerges and this whole dystopian sci-fi nightmare spills over into reality. Was that it? Did I forget anybody? I don’t know. That’s why you have those giant spreadsheets, right? 🙂 Anyways, enjoy Book 5, an epic progression fantasy where guild wars, VRMMORPGs, and alchemy collide.

#6 Floor 0

Goodreads4.66· 336

Towerbound – Book 6: Floor 0 The Tower has merged with the Districts. What started as a game is no longer contained. Mana behaves differently. The Deadlands are no longer just a boundary. Travel, territory, and power all shift at once—and every District feels it. Ren finds himself fighting on two holding onto what he’s built and navigating escalating politics that threaten to outmaneuver him. Council maneuvering intensifies. Corporate interests tighten their grip. Old power structures refuse to fade quietly. At the same time, the stakes become personal. The Deadlands aren’t just something to loot anymore. They’re something that has to be protected. Book 6 expands the scale of Towerbound—more factions, biomes, real-world consequences, and a cast that grows alongside the upheaval. The rules are evolving, and no one fully understands what the Tower ultimately wants. If you love LitRPG with progression, power struggles, large-scale worldbuilding, and strategic leadership under pressure, this is the turning point. The merge has happened. Now the world itself is going to have to learn to deal with it.

#7 Ebon Tower

Goodreads4.65· 255

Alright, Book 7. You knew this train was already barreling down the tracks. Towerbound’s world and the real districts finally collide, and everything gets louder. Here’s what I can tell you without handing out spoilers like The Prosperous Guild? Still here. Still irritating. Still convinced they can buy their way to relevance. Wild mana fluctuations are hammering every region, twisting rules nobody thought could bend. It’s the kind of instability that makes a dystopia feel a little too honest. And through all that, the Scrap Rats are doing exactly what everyone expects—Scrap Ratty things. Schemes, potions, risky brilliance, victories that look accidental but aren’t. Ren keeps acting like he’s just navigating a Gamelit adventure, but everyone around him is starting to notice he’s running out of excuses for how often he pulls off miracles. All of it happening inside the Mega Patch, where the population keeps growing, the culture keeps evolving, and time travel rumors spread faster than food lines. People whisper that the Tower isn’t just bleeding mana into the world—it’s bleeding history, too. Ren’s influence keeps expanding whether he wants it to or not, and the districts are beginning to realize that the biggest wildcard in their collapsing dystopia is a man who still brews potions like he’s in a game.
