The Primal Hunter

On just another average day, Jake finds himself in a forest filled with monsters, dangers, and opportunity. The world changed without warning: the universe reached a threshold humanity didn't know existed, and it was time to be integrated into the vast multiverse. Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunity. His new reality should breed fear and concern — his fellow coworkers falter at every turn. Jake, however, finds himself thriving. Perhaps this is the world Jake was meant to be born in.

The Tutorial has progressed in unexpected ways as Jake is forced to confront reality. Jake pursues a quest to defeat three Beast Lords before facing the final opponent: the King of the Forest. He immerses himself in gaining power and levels while hunting through dungeons for stronger and stronger foes. In another region of the Tutorial, turmoil amongst the humans quickly dies down after a disastrous battle. Will Jake hunt down the King of the Forest before the Tutorial ends, and who will survive to return to Earth?

Finally back on Earth, Jake must adapt and evolve as his hunt continues. With a huge open planet before him, Jake finds his true Path as a hunter — all while trying to avoid the responsibilities of having founded the first city on the planet. Meanwhile, all across Earth, Pylons of Civilization are claimed, cities are constructed, and factions grow as political alliances form and godly and mortal forces alike move to establish dominance. None of which Jake cares too much about while he focuses on what is truly important: hunting, alchemy, and getting that D-grade evolution.

Now in D-grade, Jake prepares to face even stronger foes as the first World Congress approaches, allowing all forces on Earth to finally meet and reuniting friends and enemies alike. Jake lets others handle the politics while he seeks stronger prey for those sweet, sweet levels. The death of a hated mushroom reveals a prime hunting ground — a dungeon — but first he must contend with crafting a new weapon using the extremely powerful curse of resentment from an ancient vampire land. Ancient curses are well-known for being harmless, after all.

The first major system event has arrived as all the major factions of Earth converge on Yalsten — an old cursed land once occupied by ancient vampires, now the grounds for a system event known as a Treasure Hunt. Jake and his fellow Earthlings compete and cooperate to uncover the secrets of this ancient land while acquiring loot. But the ancient defenses still stand, vampires of old are awakening from their slumber, and each one appears stronger than the last. Jake truly hopes for a proper final boss — the only question is whether the ultimate challenge will come from the vampires or from his fellow man.

Back from the Treasure Hunt, Jake visits family and attends an auction before tackling the challenges the planet has to offer. Using rewards from the Treasure Hunt, he aims to improve his repertoire and gain more levels. The plan: invade a massive termite hive to craft a new weapon using the extremely powerful curse of resentment from an ancient vampire land. Ancient curses are well-known for being harmless, after all. Assuming all goes well, one more challenge awaits — perhaps his most dangerous yet: enrollment in an ancient Order worshipping a Primordial snake god.

Having arrived at the Order of the Malefic Viper, Jake is eager to improve his alchemy — but reality is often cruel. While trying to do just that, Jake must navigate the political landscape of the Order, hiding his identity as the Chosen of the Big Boss while being forced to attend get-togethers and visiting vampires to sell ancient memorabilia. Earth also still calls. He helps friends deal with family issues on a road trip, hunting down the final Primas he needs — powerful monsters with unique key fragments — to participate in the upcoming system event: the Seat of the Exalted Prima.

Enjoying his time at the Order of the Malefic Viper, Jake is blindsided when Earth calls. Out of nowhere his alchemy training is interrupted as he is forced back to deal with a sudden emergency: Earth has been invaded by another Chosen with plans that do not include a fair fight, assisted by natives unsatisfied with the status quo. The feeble political balance on Earth shatters as factions take advantage of the turmoil. War breaks out, and every force finds itself implicated. On his way to face the enemy Chosen, Jake explores parts of Earth he has never seen, makes new allies, and uncovers more of the Malefic Viper's most treasured secrets.

With Nevermore in full swing, the competition for the Leaderboards is only heating up. Many years and many levels have passed since Jake and friends entered Nevermore. Having cleared numerous floors, they turn their attention to the Challenge Dungeons — unique challenges that offer points and multipliers to Leaderboard scores. It quickly becomes clear that the true top-scorer will be found through these dungeons. Jake has no plans on losing, especially not to his fellow Chosen, Ell'Hakan.

With only one Challenge Dungeon left, Nevermore is quickly winding to an end. The Leaderboards competition has gathered more attention than perhaps ever before, with gods getting directly and indirectly involved. Jake enters his final Challenge Dungeon before reuniting with his party for a final push to climb as many floors as possible. But the competition is fierce — Ell'Hakan, his self-proclaimed rival, has set himself up to rival or shatter all prior records. In the end, who will prove themselves the top C-grade of their generation?

With Nevermore done and dusted, it's back to Earth where the fight for the Milky Way Galaxy is about to begin. After a detour to the moon, it's time for final preparations before the Prima Guardian arrives, signaling the start of the battle for the galaxy. Every inhabited planet in the galaxy is involved, free to ally or face the event alone — but Ell'Hakan leading the largest coalition of planets complicates matters considerably. Between him, the Holy Church, and selfish minor factions, the battle ahead won't be easy, and the conflict between Jake and Ell'Hakan is escalating in tandem with a war between the Malefic Viper and Yip of Yore.

As the war across the Milky Way Galaxy intensifies, all fronts prepare for the ultimate confrontation between the gods and their Chosen. Despite recent losses and the appearance of a new unexpected enemy, Jake and the Malefic Viper continue preparations for the deciding confrontation with Ell'Hakan and Yip of Yore. With the would-be Primordial Slayer pushing back the Order at every turn, many begin to wonder if Yip of Yore will be the first Primordial Slayer of the multiverse. Simultaneously, the fighting in the Milky Way continues as the Prima Guardian event nears its end. The victor will be decided by the only thing that truly matters: who is actually the most powerful.
