Zalia Taori is well equipped for life in the remote forest valley she calls home. But while tracking a deer, she stumbles across a warp in reality and is torn into an unfamiliar land where she must survive as both predator and prey. She encounters peculiar herbs, terrifying monsters, mysterious rituals, and some unexpected friends in a world of classes and levels. She discovers that Endaria's strongest citizens had been disappearing long before the first demon invasion. When her daughter Aylie joins the investigation, the millennia-old adversaries the Astar strike, taking Zalia's family hostage. Their plan: to reduce all before them to mindless slaves. Zalia must push for more power and trust new allies with hidden agendas.

Set on destroying the hellish realm of Cormaine once and for all, Zalia seeks the ultimate healing cure — and uncovers Endaria's greatest evil in the process.
