Alex is broke — pretty much always has been. A misspent youth led to convictions and plea deals, leaving him with no career and no hope. Then the newest immersive MMO arrives with the ability to convert in-game earnings into real currency. Seizing the opportunity, Alex joins The Realms as Jack Alltrades, determined to make money any way he can. A master of none, he'll learn every trade possible — from kobold labor management to the finer points of NPC tax fraud — to turn his life around.

Alex — AKA Jack Alltrades — just wanted to play a game and make some money. After a string of incredible luck and a few wise decisions, he finds himself responsible for an entire in-game company. It's not all gold coins, though. Real-life threats, angry NPC merchants, and shady deals with elves and dwarves are giving Jack a massive headache. Can he keep All Trades, Inc. out of the red, and can he buy his way into a new life before his past catches up with him?

Jack was warned that one day he'd have to fight to protect what he and the others built. That day just arrived. Men representing a real-world corporation have shown up in-game demanding Jack sell All Trades, Inc. for a fraction of its worth. Not knowing how big his operation truly is, Jack must uncover who they are and what they're planning before they realize what he stands to lose. Add a quest to save an unborn dragon and an undead threat to his rising town, and Jack Alltrades is about to be far busier than he ever wanted.

All Trades, Inc. had cemented itself as the biggest and best business around — and then everything fell apart. A real-world corporation made its move, and All Trades HQ is now a pile of ashes. Worse, Zen, Jack's longtime spirit companion, is dead and trapped in the Spirit Realm. There is a chance to save him — but it requires Jack to travel between continents, something no player has yet accomplished, and find a place no living person has ever found. Fortunately, the corporation that cost him so much has put down roots in that very same place. There's no export tax on revenge.
