The system came. The apocalypse ended. New worlds have merged with Earth. For Bain Lee, it means leveling his Ocularist class beyond its previous limits. Bain Lee and the other death row inmates survived the first year of the apocalypse. Joining forces with challengers from other worlds, they survived the next phase too. Now factions are forming, and with them new alliances and rivalries. All the while, Bain's Ocularist class continues to break the system in new and unforeseen ways.

Bain Lee and his faction are setting out to escape the Crucible and what has become of Earth. Other worlds have been pulled into the Crucible alongside it, and Bain gathers allies from numerous diverse species — each with their own unique classes and powers. But other humans pose the greatest threat. Bain's brother Tommy, a former Triad member, leads his own faction of bloodthirsty followers using a Warlord class that makes even low-level players dangerous. Power is everything. Bain will need to steal more spells, craft unique gear, and face deadlier dungeons than ever before.
