The apocalypse is coming — but only a lucky or perhaps unlucky few know. Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's Forerunners. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform — Earth risks becoming a mining world stripped bare and left a barren husk in the cosmos. A system-enforced secret, a deadly challenge, and only a year to go. The countdown begins now.

The clock is ticking down on humanity's days. Silas has made great progress and his power is growing in leaps and bounds — but so are the enemies he faces. Silas finds a mentor, learns how to bend the system, gets betrayed, and gains a fifth team member as he pushes ever closer to the apocalypse's deadline.

Something always goes sideways — but this is bigger than expected. Mana-infected animals are spreading across the world, which at least makes people more receptive to the idea of an approaching apocalypse. The question is what Silas is supposed to do about it while still unable to tell uninducted people about the System. Time to get creative — especially with the Wild Hunt only seven days away, an event the System has cooked up that he'll need every ounce of his new foundation to survive.

Silas is growing into the responsibilities weighing him down. Earth is struggling, but deals he's brokered have brought resources and trainers, and some leaders now understand what's coming. His team has grown — but now he faces the greatest challenge to any Forerunner: the Wild Hunt, where he'll be both hunter and hunted while forging a shaky alliance with those he can't trust. And a disturbing question is emerging: what if there's more than one system to choose from?

With less than a month left to prepare Earth for what's coming, Silas must pull out all the stops to save as many people as possible. As if one System weren't bad enough, Earth has been declared a contested world — now it isn't just Earth competing, but at least two systems vying to gain control of the planet.

The siren has sounded and old factions of the multiverse are on the move. Earth — and Silas in particular — have become hot commodities. The System was supposed to give Earth a probationary period, but the Invasion is beginning. Silas will either forge new enemies or new allies, and the fate of the Earth may rest on his decisions.

Silas has a lot on his plate. He must juggle the attentions of three peak-family suitors while preparing for the evacuation of Galen before an unspeakable evil from his vision strikes. He'll need help from friends and access to key items at the multiverse's biggest auction — where only the most powerful even get a seat at the table. A fourth peak family is also vying for him, and if they can't have him, nobody will. The auction holds the key to Galen's salvation, but one wrong move could mean the end of Silas, the Earth, and everyone he holds dear.

Growing stronger has brought its own challenges — Silas is more of a target than ever, and so are the Earth and his allies. Decisions have been made and obligations accrued. The threats exist at many levels, but the most immediate one has no agenda beyond raw destruction. Silas must walk his own path and create a new way forward if he wants a future that diverges from the horrors he has been shown.

Fresh from his confrontation with Gallarosa, Silas finds himself on the other end of the multiverse in a world controlled by the Order — a powerful faction cloaked in righteousness, hellbent on dominating the medieval world of Aerth. On Aerth, his connection to the System is tenuous at best; he must rely on his wits, cunning, and the bonds of friendship he's built. To survive and find his way home, Silas must earn the trust of Tad, a Magic Eater and Fey prince, and together they must craft an enchanted arsenal and perhaps rewrite the rules of the multiverse itself.

So many have come to Silas's aid when he needed it. Now he must start repaying those debts. Ryan has called, so Silas is on his way — and it fits, because he's beginning to suspect his true purpose. One system is both too much and too little. He's going to have to forge a new balance.

Returning to Earth should feel like a homecoming — family, friends, and all the people counting on him are there. But dangers continue to multiply, and Silas is beginning to understand that many of those dangers are attached directly to him. What if the greatest threat is inside him?
