Tower Apocalypse

When a colossal tower lands in the middle of a city, Devin Cain is transported along with 99,999 others to Gaea — a fantastical world ruled by floating demi-gods. They were supposedly selected to prove Earth is worth saving from an upcoming cataclysm. Gaea is controlled by the System, a sarcastic intelligence that grants powers, classes, monsters, and loot. Armed with a cursed katana that hungers for blood and souls, Devin must climb the tower to uncover the truth behind their abduction.

Defeating humanity's biggest internal threat was just the start. The System announces a hidden world event whose timing is unknown. Two alien species are approaching. And Boris and Miki — brutal criminal bosses — have vanished. Devin also notices something strange: Gaea seems incomplete around the edges, as if something big is happening behind the scenes.

The System that was on humanity's side is gone, replaced by a cold and unfeeling one. The darkling are stronger than ever, and their three princes are driving their race up the tower, sacrificing thousands of their own for power. Humanity has no choice but to follow. To survive the next event, Devin must climb the Tower of Oblivion as quickly as possible — with a mixed party of humans, dwergar, and even a lone darkling by his side.
