In the frontier town of Isarn, Chase will never be more than the lowly Darkborn thief he is. Banned from training, banned from acquiring better cards — if the Lightborn had their way, he'd be banned from life itself. But Chase and his friends have determination. Losing a hand to brutal punishment only fueled his obsession to get access to reality-bending cards. Nobody cares where you came from when you're rich enough. Facing established powers, churches, and age-old prejudices, Chase and his crew must fight back — and if the Lightborn won't share, sometimes the only way to get dealt a better hand is to steal the whole deck.

In the frontier town of Isarn, Chase will never be more than the lowly Darkborn thief he is. Banned from training and from acquiring better cards, he and his friends have only determination to rely on. Losing a hand to brutal punishment only fueled his obsession to access reality-bending cards — the path to power and a future for them all. Facing established powers, churches, and age-old prejudices, if the Lightborn won't share, the only way to get a better hand is to steal the whole deck.

Chase and his crew thought the Earth's Ward stronghold would keep them safe in well-earned comfort — until an army of religious zealots marks their cards and their heads for "cleansing." With even friends in high places unable to protect them, their last shot at survival lies in the wild Furyborn lands, where they must convince a tribe of bloodthirsty isolationists to part with their most sacred legendary Fury deck.

Chase and his crew have claimed cards from four of the five legendary decks, each theft bringing them closer to true power on the world of Ordei — but the relentless Lightborn nation hunts them across every continent. One final heist stands between them and ultimate freedom: the Liberty deck. There's just one problem — the Liberty nation vanished decades ago behind walls of impenetrable fog, ruled by a leader whose power rivals the gods themselves.
