Everyone wants to be the chosen one — but due to a goddess's clumsy meddling, struggling musician Perry ends up accidentally transmigrated alongside her true chosen one, with none of the usual perks. Demanding a portal home wins him no respect. Instead, Perry finds himself thrust into a world of magic, monsters, and a wisecracking System. His courage earns him severely diminished proportions and a brand that cripples his combat potential. Nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength won't get him justice, bardic wit, musical talent, and creativity will. His first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world.

With one Champion under his belt, Perry sets his sights on new horizons. The human city of Eldar's Port is in dire straits — gnomish entities are seizing control of the economy, children are disappearing off the streets, and domestic terrorists are making life difficult for everyone. Finding the Champions who serve Tracy the Devourer is Perry's primary goal, but if they're behind the city's downfall, he might just become an unwilling hero.
