The Plainswalker

Peabo Smith is a former Special Forces soldier who volunteers for a science experiment run by STAG — the Special Technologies Analysis Group — that rivals the audacity of the moon landing. When things do not go as planned, Peabo realizes he is stuck in a place he cannot escape and that the experiment may end up changing his life forever.

Peabo is a former Special Forces soldier trapped in a world not so different from the one he left — except that some laws of physics have been tweaked. Known as a plainswalker, though nobody fully understands what that means, his strength and speed have been growing for months — and now the nosebleeds are killing him. On death's doorstep, he is brought to the sage's tower: a repository of ancient knowledge and a training ground for assassins. The women there are either going to kill him or turn him into a weapon this world has not seen in thousands of years. For Peabo, he is not sure surviving is the better option.
