Theodore the Babylonian was once the greatest Earth Mage in his world — head of the Order of Architects, two thousand years old, and finally ready to retire. In the course of his long life, however, he had accumulated too many enemies, and they ensured his retirement was fatal. His death was not final. Reborn in a strange new world with all his memories and experience but none of his power, he must climb back to the top — before this world is consumed by the beasts of the Shadow Plane.

Theodore the Babylonian was the greatest Earth Mage in his world and head of the Order of Architects. After two thousand years, he was ready to retire — until his accumulated enemies decided to spoil his plans. His death was not final. Reborn in a strange new world with all his memories but none of his power, he must rebuild from scratch before the beasts of the Shadow Plane consume everything.

Theodore the Babylonian settles into life in Liechtenstein — heir without inheritance, a weak mage with enormous experience and a second chance at life. The time has come to reclaim what is rightfully his and show the world that what belongs to him is sacred.

The people of Liechtenstein have long wanted independence, but the Empire has its own plans and neighboring states eye the principality as their own. Internal conflicts among the aristocracy show no sign of easing. Theodore stirred up this hornets' nest — and they only have themselves to blame.

Strange events unfold around the small principality of Liechtenstein. There has been an invasion, but no war declaration — that is politics for you. For Theodore the Babylonian, this means one thing: accelerate development, mobilize all forces, and show enemies they should not have attacked his new home.

Prince Boschild of Liechtenstein was chosen by the emperor to maintain order — but his greed and ambition were badly underestimated. Before Theodore arrived, Boschild had been quietly advancing enemies' long-term plans, which would have ended very badly for the principality. Theodore will not let anyone harm the citizens he has come to protect.

Dark clouds gather over the citizens of Liechtenstein as aristocrats scheme, authorities maneuver, and rebels pursue their own ends — all behind eloquent slogans that mask complete indifference to ordinary people. The citizens of Liechtenstein have Theodore the Babylonian and his guard regiment to protect them.

The Principality of Liechtenstein is no longer so easy to capture — not by the Emperor, not by the Cursed Shadows. Theodore has come to care about this place and the people who live here, and his enemies should think carefully before crossing him now.

Liechtenstein, a tiny country between enemy states, has become Theodore's home by the will of the Multiverse. He did not choose it, but he will ensure the trust placed in him by its citizens is fully merited — and any foe who comes for him or his people will get exactly what is coming to them.

Theodore is closing in on the mastermind behind it all. He has known from the start that the Shadows are behind everything — and now he believes he has found their chief minion, an unusual villain who wears a top hat and operates out of Africa. What are a few thousand miles to an Architect with unfinished business?

The final battle is upon Theodore. He will cleanse this world of Shadow spawn, and then he has one more project: building a fortress so impregnable that no being in the Multiverse can reach him without an invitation. He already has everything he needs. After all, he is an Architect, and his home is his castle.
