The Mechanical Crafter

Given a second chance at life, he chose to return as a Metalman — a mechanical being named Repair. He must now deal with a lab of gnomes who say he owes them for his resurrection, a city undergoing a magical industrial revolution, and enemies who want him broken into pieces. Repair dives into dungeons to level up and gather resources. If he doesn't grow stronger, he'll lose his freedom and the life of his only friend.

Repair must prove himself worthy of becoming the Gnome Research Institute's champion — or spend a decade as their virtual slave. Meanwhile, a greedy Guild Master threatens the hard-earned legacy of his goblin friend Greebo's family. Repair dives back into the dungeon, crafts technology the city has never seen, and builds alliances to overcome the mounting challenges ahead.

Repair has risked life and mechanical limb across multiple dungeon levels, fought grotesque monsters, and lost friends — all to earn a chance at free citizenship. Now he must train a ragtag group of strangers and develop magical technology to win a fierce competition against teams that have prepared for years. Mysterious forces will do anything to stop him. Failure means a lifetime as someone else's property.
