The Greystone Chronicles

In the latter half of the 21st century, Alexander and his guild play Io Online for fun and income. While completing a rare "First Kill" dungeon they discover that demons have returned to the realm for the first time in ages. Given the chance to test a revolutionary new immersion system, the friends reset to level one. They quickly run afoul of a player-killer guild bent on spawn camping them out of the game — and after gods and a powerful being of darkness get involved, they learn the hard way that in-game actions have real-world consequences.

Jupiter Tech's headquarters has been attacked and lives lost in the real world. Alexander and friends must now thwart the servants of the Dark One both inside and outside the game. With new allies, the Greystone Guild moves out of the noob zones to take on the ruined Dire Keep and its inhabitants — conquering, rebuilding, and defending against attacking forces while facing tougher dungeons, more dangerous foes, and betrayal from within.

Alexander and the Greystone Guild expand their territory — building up the keep, conquering new lands, and recruiting citizens of all races — before taking the fight to the minions of the Dark One in their own strongholds. New alliances are forged, but tragedy strikes one of the group. The Dark One's identity is finally discovered, and a new yet ancient enemy threatens to change the face of Io forever.

The kingdom is expanding, and Elysia is prospering — but Alexander and his Elysians must defend their lands against an invading orc horde from the north and the dark army of demons and undead that has escaped its cavern prison. Meanwhile, the Dark One works with drow wizards to subjugate more lands. The Greystone Guild battles armies to defend their people, fighting for freedom against a ruthless enemy bent on destroying the world.

King Alexander and his guildmates have built Elysia into a formidable kingdom, but their battle against the Dark One and the drow wizards is escalating. Alexander works to unite the Elves, Dwarves, and Human Kingdoms — only to find dark magic has infiltrated the highest offices, blocking his efforts. War comes once again to the keep, and all of Io is pulled into the conflict. Meanwhile, in the real world, doctors determine it is time to wake Jules from her months-long slumber, and Alexander and Jules prepare to meet face to face for the first time.
