A ruined life. A broken heart. He thought it was the end, and his gun sat ready to make sure. But an oddball offer from his only friend comes at the literal last second. Curiosity gets the best of him, and he finds himself sucked into iNcarn8, a game claiming to be a whole new life. Now as Montana, the larger-than-life tank warrior, he has one more last time to get his life right.

Montana's new life in Vuldranni isn't quite the tranquil extended fishing trip he'd been hoping for. Now he's Montana Coggeshall, heir to a dukedom — if he can get his crew to Osterstadt and claim it in time. The party must cross WarWaters, a lake that offers everything but a pleasure cruise, and then race through a dense, forbidden forest full of hungry beasts, unfriendly races, and a few cocky nobles.

Just as Montana thought he had Vuldranni figured out, the ground shifts under his feet. To achieve his goal of founding a dukedom he must first free Nikolai from a prison no one has ever escaped alive — whose only rumored exit runs through a sentient dungeon eager to cause pain and demand the ultimate price.

Montana Coggeshall, duke of Coggeshall and defeater of dungeons, is finally ready to start building his dukedom. He just needs a few hardworking friends, some lumber, enough food for winter, and a bit more gold. Of course, he also promised to retrieve magic texts from a cemetery, needs to help a lost little boy, and all the undead in that basement crypt aren't going to re-kill themselves. Maybe Montana's taken on a few too many side quests.

Montana sets out to defeat the corrupted Ursus — a threat large enough to destroy the entire world of iNcarn8. He heads out on pure instinct and a healthy dose of anger, only to find himself stripped of food, supplies, a vital magic weapon, and even his most loyal friends. Montana Coggeshall is on the hunt.

Freshly respawned. Far from home. All alone. Up until now, Montana's journey only went one direction: up. But now he's back at square one, stuck on top of a mountain with only the most basic gear to help get him back to Coggeshall. Along the way, Montana encounters a pack of just-this-side-of-feral wolf people, a Wild West town with a heavy-handed sheriff, a lion taking on a colossal fish monster, ancient cursed ruins, and a giant flying frog. It's going to be a long walk — but not a boring one.

Montana, recently returned from an impromptu study abroad trip, is finally ready to take his job as Duke seriously — and just in time. The politics of the capital are rapidly closing in on his valley holding, there are goblins to negotiate with, and a cult is threatening the lives of his citizens. Montana will have to walk amongst the highest levels of Vuldranni society to influence world politics, and slaughter a few goblins in the process.

The most dangerous night of the year is upon Coggeshall. Fiends' Night, when the boundary between Vuldranni and hell is at its weakest — and so hell comes out to play. To survive, Montana must put his entire holding on lockdown and turn hastily made cave apartments into an actual home for thousands of residents. Meanwhile, the Master he dealt with in Osterstadt? That was the wrong one. The real Master is hiding in Coggeshall, and Montana has to catch him before the entire holding becomes his dinner.

The long-simmering conflict between Montana's holding at Coggeshall and the Night Goblins who share the valley is about to boil over. These are not ordinary goblins — they have limitless resources, never-before-seen tactics, and horrifying monsters at their disposal, and they don't fear death in the slightest. They just might force a good guy to become what he has always struggled to defeat.

Montana has survived Fiends' Night and an all-out goblin war, but for his people in Coggeshall to truly be safe, he needs to find the source of all these attacks. Along the way, Montana will be tested by feuding families, money-hungry miners, and more than a few bad guides. Everything up until now was practice.

The big city is calling, and in order to succeed there, Montana must actually prove himself a deserving duke. If Glaton finds him lacking, Coggeshall could be forced into even further isolation. But if Glaton falls in love with him, the regular guy from Motor City could end up with limitless power, in charge of it all. Just like that, the fate of the entire Empire is in Montana's hands.

Montana stepped in it. He's on the verge of losing his dukedom and everything he's worked for. The only way out is a little-known technicality that stops Senate proceedings and sends him off on what's most likely an insurmountable quest — one where he'll either die without a respawn or accidentally commit treason against the Empire. Can Montana stop the Dark Queen's army on his own and hold the line for Glaton?

These two unlikely allies must combine Montana's brawn with Clyde's brains to outmaneuver a fanatical sect bent on world destruction, navigating from glittering high-society balls to grimy cavern crawls.

He just saved the entire Empire — again. Now he's got to save a couple of scared kids. What starts as a simple rescue mission quickly unravels into a web of strange disappearances, secret tunnels, and whispered warnings. A new monster may be stalking the valley, and it doesn't just kill — it plays with its food. As Montana digs deeper, he's faced with questions no one wants to answer: who's been pulling the strings in his absence, and why does it all feel so personal?
