The Game is a virtual reality simulation played by over a billion children around the world. The best players are celebrities, adored and worshipped by countless fans. Zack is a superstar among players. His final play may change the world forever — setting in motion consequences that ripple across both Earth and the world of Tygon, where billions watch breathlessly as lives are put in jeopardy based on decisions made by children inside the Game.

Millions on Earth are shaken by the events set in motion by Zack's final play. Billions on Tygon watch breathlessly as the consequences ripple through both worlds. Will his girlfriend, still inside the Game, step forward to lead the movement he created? Billions of lives are in jeopardy — based on decisions made by children inside the Game.

Inside the Game, players struggle to survive in a world where technology no longer functions. On Tygon, fans are unable to view what is occurring inside the Game. Trew and Danielle rush to save both realities, unable to know what the other is doing. The fate of reality depends on a Game, and time is running out.

Loredana Cyber, heir to the world's largest entertainment company, walked away from big business after being betrayed by a trusted colleague, vowing never to return. When a young programmer on the verge of perfecting incredible new technology comes to her for help, she must decide: remain anonymous, or return to an arena that betrayed her.

Are thousands of orbs — each containing a reality housing billions of souls — about to burn out and die? Can Trew find his daughter, or will everything he has sacrificed be for nothing? And what impact will a young scientist who believes his reality exists inside a computer simulation make on his world?

Addisyn leads her band of Sparrows, clashing with other groups in a daily struggle for dominance. Stranded against his will in another reality, Trew searches for a way to continue looking for his daughter. On Tygon, Danielle ensures the Game and society run as intended. A field of orbs glows brightly as an old man watches with keen interest — and a young woman learns that she is much more than a sentient computer program.
