Charlie Gault had all the luck — unfortunately, none of it was good. When a freak wormhole swallows his spacecraft and leaves him stranded on an unknown planet far from home, Charlie must stop complaining and step up to save his crew. That was when things really went sideways. Suddenly facing alien space pirates, talking dragons, and something very much like magic, the space engineer from Earth finds himself adrift in a whole new galaxy — and Lady Luck shows no signs of changing her attitude toward him.

Charlie Gault had all the luck — unfortunately, none of it was good. When a freak wormhole swallows his spacecraft and strands him on an unknown planet, Charlie must step up to save his crew. Suddenly facing alien space pirates, talking dragons, and something that seems very much like magic, the space engineer from Earth finds himself adrift in a whole new galaxy — with his man Friday a blue-skinned alien, and no desert island in sight.

Charlie was living a life of luxury — as an alien wizard's gladiator slave. Not ideal. He had survived a spaceship crash, alien slave traders, space pirates, and gladiatorial combat against a fire-breathing dragon. Now he finds himself in a cushy existence on a powerful wizard's estate. But captivity in a gilded cage is still captivity, and something is wrong. Knowing his luck, the answer to when it would all go to hell was: soon.

Charlie had survived wormholes, alien slavery, gladiatorial combat, space piracy, and rising to the pinnacle of power as Dragon King. It finally looked like he'd earned a little peace and quiet — until a whole new threat emerged that put not just those he loved at risk, but the entire planet, and possibly the solar system. Forced to evolve into something new once again, the space engineer from the past thought that on this tech-driven world, he might finally have the advantage.

Space portals to another galaxy were just the beginning of Charlie's worries. Facing a hostile band of alien mercenaries hell-bent on capturing his home and enslaving his people, and with something more sinister afoot, Charlie and the great AI minds of Earth must decide: wait for the aggressors' next move, or take the fight to them. Whatever the decision, Charlie knew he and his friends would be in for the fight of their lives — against an enemy more powerful than any they had ever imagined.

Charlie had managed to overcome alien mercenaries in two galaxies, saving his own neck and those of his friends. But things were getting complicated fast — their forces in the dark as to the true nature of their enemy, Charlie and his band of rebel pirates and resistance fighters would have to dig deep. Failure meant a life of slavery if lucky, and death was the far more likely outcome. But an unexpected new player had entered the game — more than one, in fact — and their roles would change the entire nature of the battlefield.

With friends spread across two distant galaxies, separated by a heavily guarded magical portal and struggling against a war spilling into both the technological and magical realms, things were reaching a breaking point. Charlie wasn't about to give up. If it was war they wanted, it was war they'd get — and he would cross space and time if need be to protect those he cared for. He was facing an adversary not only more powerful than any he'd ever battled, but one with a diabolical plan worse than he'd ever imagined.

Charlie had faced it all — a distant galaxy running on magic, space pirates, alien slave traders, gladiatorial combat, and an interstellar war spanning galaxies — and somehow come out on top. But now, at the peak of his powers, something new was coming over the horizon, a threat the likes of which he had never imagined. In a desperate struggle against all odds, it was not just his own life on the line this time, but those of his dearest friends.

Stuck in a distant galaxy again — a war-like race hell-bent on galactic domination had Charlie in their crosshairs. Unlike his past enemies, this new threat used technology and magic interchangeably, negating his biggest advantage. Worse, his magic and his friends' magic wasn't working quite right in this corner of space — as likely to harm allies as enemies. With a child on the way, Charlie was damn well going to do whatever it took to get home.

Facing an alien threat across three galaxies, Charlie needed a hat-trick of awesome. The Urvalin invaders had linked three realms to join their power and create an intergalactic dominion — and would have succeeded if not for one crucial mistake: they hadn't counted on the resourcefulness of Charlie and his friends. Disparate magic systems were made to work together, and former enemies found themselves unlikely allies in an all-or-nothing battle for freedom. With Charlie still trapped in a distant galaxy, would it be enough?
