An Apocalypse changed human biology and granted new powers, but came with no instructions — so everyone created their own. Jeff's new home in the Wilds is on the brink of destruction — a Spire sunken into the ground that humanity knows nothing about. His dream of living between cities and the Wilds as a Hunter has come true, though these Hunters are uncomfortably similar to his childhood tormentors. Conflict festers between his goblin friends and his fellow humans, and his lack of knowledge will endanger everyone and lead him to the Spire.
