He was the greatest chaos mage of his time, spending sixty years defending the world from rift creatures — loyal to the Empire to his bone, until it decided to wipe out the Chaos clan and every last one of its members. Life has a way of surprising you, and he got a second chance to walk the entire path again. Except the rules are different this time around: chaos is now the weakest of the six elements, and its mages are considered bottom-feeders. Time to show this world just how dead wrong it is.

What can be better than attending a magic academy? New friends, new knowledge, new emotions. Study, close rifts, and mentor two students who need time and experience — no time to get into trouble. Wrong. Especially when you are a chaos mage and an entire squad of assassins is hunting you down, having infiltrated the magic academy just to get closer to you. A chaos warrior never runs from trouble.

The first part of the plan has succeeded — a new house has been created. No longer just a commoner from a distant kingdom, but a full-fledged citizen of the Empire and head of House Greymore. As the head of a house, new responsibilities come: protecting the Empire from threats both external and internal. The Cursed Lands must be stopped from spreading further. The mistake made sixty years ago must be corrected once and for all, despite fierce opposition from new enemies.

The spread of the Cursed Lands has been halted. The first of the seven members of the Circle Order, responsible for the fall of the Chaos Clan, has been killed. Not a bad start for someone just finishing their first year at the magic academy. Now comes the tournament of young mages, and the hunt for those who nearly destroyed his teacher. Chaos forgets nothing — it always claims what's rightfully its own.

The Empire has declared him its enemy. The Circle Order has declared him its enemy. The Kingdom of Dertan has declared him its enemy. Everyone wants only one thing — to destroy the chaos mage Solo Greymore before he gains power. Because once he reaches the tenth rank, his enemies will have to answer for their foolish naivety. So let them amuse themselves for now. His goal at the moment: turn his students into true mages.

Revenge has become a thing of the past. The Circle Order and the Council of Four have accomplished what was deemed impossible for sixty years — they have restored the Chaos clan. The Greymores are no longer in disgrace and have regained the title of Great House, but chaos mages are still considered dangerous criminals, and even the emperor's decree can't change that overnight. Now that the Greymores have their own home, they've become easy prey. Who are they to say no when resources are flowing into their hands? As for everything else, they'll deal with it — this is something they're really good at.

I returned home. The other continent is behind me, and with it, all hardships should have been left behind as well. But they are only beginning. Old enemies had raised their heads again. New ones had grown stronger while I was away. But most importantly, the Chaos Clan is once more on the run.No, this won’t do at all. It’s time to show the entire world that picking a fight with Solo Greymore is a terrible idea. Because I am the overlord of my Pack!
