A normal high school girl dies and is reincarnated in a fantasy world as a tiny spider at the bottom of a monster-infested dungeon. With no special advantages and no one to rely on, she must use every trick at her disposal just to survive — and then to grow stronger. From her early days desperately evading predators through her eventual evolution into something far more formidable, her journey is one of relentless improvisation against a world that seems designed to kill her.

With the battle against Mother behind her, the spider turns her attention to preparing for the Demon Lord. But she's gotten too strong for her own good, and all the unwanted attention that comes with it is forcing her to interact with humans for the first time.

Evolution achieved — she's finally an Arachne. Somehow, this leads to joining up with the Demon Lord, traveling alongside the lord of demons and a vampire princess. She'll worry about what that means later. First: the human world.

Confined to a demon's mansion while waiting for her powers to return, the spider eventually discovers they've come back — along with an unexpected talent for teleportation. That gives her an idea: it's time to meet D face to face.

The Demon Lord launches a massive assault on the fortresses guarding the human frontier, committing hundreds of thousands of soldiers. The humans mount a stiff resistance — and the spider reports from the front, right in the thick of it all.

Even becoming a god doesn't simplify things. After eliminating the Hero title by hacking into the world's System, a new one is inherited almost immediately. Now the other reincarnations are converging on the elf village just as the demon army prepares to conquer it. Time for Plan B.

The final confrontation with Potimas looms, but so does an inevitable clash between the reincarnations. With factions colliding and old grudges boiling over, the spider just wants everyone to get along long enough to deal with the real enemy.

With Potimas finally out of the picture, the path to destroying the System seems clear — until D activates a World Quest that reveals the fate of the world to its entire population. Now everyone must choose a side: Black or White. Either way, casualties are guaranteed.

The final question: sacrifice the goddess to save humanity, or sacrifice humanity to save the goddess? With the Word of God religion backing one side and the spider and Demon Lord backing the other, the grand finale is here — and D is content to watch it all unfold.
