Small Unit Tactics

A strange, foreign world. Mysterious judges with capricious rules. Thousands of gamers find themselves split into factions and pitted against each other at the whim of an unknown higher power, with no idea how they got there. Echo, with his knowledge of fighting, armor, and weapons, quickly establishes his ragtag unit — the 'Society of Pinprick Enthusiasts' — as a force their enemies dread. But brute force and bravado won't be enough. Echo must lead his squad through mistakes, good fortune, victory, and defeat as he works to secure his position.

Echo has landed on his feet in the mysterious world, forming a close-knit unit that quickly levels up and instills fear in their enemies. But much remains unclear — where is he, what is this world, and who are the 'arbiters' enforcing the game's rules? The rules suddenly change, and the clans face real and final danger for the first time: if a faction's city is captured and its three artifacts destroyed, that faction is eliminated permanently. Echo and his team are chosen to lead their city's defense.
