Ancient powers are about to collide. The world is on the verge of changing, and all Levy wanted was to start leveling. Stuck with a specialization mostly used for buffing in towns for coin, Levy doesn't see it as a disadvantage — even if everyone else does. He expected to take the road most traveled, but looks like he'll have to carve his own path and be the first enchanter to reach max level. First he'd better learn everything he can about the system of mana that seems to have a grudge against mankind — and may have something to do with the burgeoning war.

Levy plans to use his undervalued Enchanting specialization to create an unstoppable force. As he gains the wrong kind of attention from the historic sorcerers who have a stake in the system he hopes to exploit, his loyalty comes into question and a difficult choice must be taken. Before he can know what to do, he needs to find out the truth about those who have power over him. Some answers are lost in the past, but others seem to be within the system itself — and Levy might just have a way to access them through his unique connection to mana.

When Levy finds himself transported to an unknown place, discoveries of the past will soon shape the future — though perhaps not the future he was planning for.
