Project Stellar

The Black Moon's shattered fragments split continents and flooded them with raging oceans, unleashing hostile energy that warped physical laws and spawned monstrous new life. Humanity's last survivors cannot hold the line. So Project Stellar activates its final instruction: Incarnation — when not enough living fighters remain, the dead will rejoin the defense.

The Black Moon hovers over humanity's last surviving City, whose Legion was created by Incarnators of old. The Possessed are warped by primeval Darkness, while Warriors, Enchanters, and Technomancers fight to hold back the ancient evil. A man trapped in the body of a young Legionnaire tribute continues his journey across this ravaged world, seeking the mystery of his past — and trying to survive the trip.

Every survivor dreams of reaching the City — humanity's last stronghold, where civilization still functions behind unassailable walls. Grey travels there to solve the mystery of his past. He will witness the brutal training that shapes children of the Seven Clans into Warriors, Enchanters, and Technomancers, meet the City's true rulers, and finally discover the real purpose of Project Stellar.

Once Grey's true identity becomes known, the shadow of his past summons the immortal troops of the First Legion to fulfil their ancient oath. But no one likes sharing power. The City Archons brand Grey and his followers rebels and traitors, triggering a fratricidal war in humanity's last refuge.

The Council of the Archons has been overthrown and Prometheus's final orders received. A new menace sweeps toward the City. Grey heads for Neo Ark to face an old enemy — or perhaps an old friend. After all, no one truly knows who the first Incarnators were or how they arrived on Earth.

By the time Grey returns with new allies, the Legion has been defeated and the City stands at the brink of destruction. Thousands of souls trapped inside the Cube are trying to break free from their extradimensional prison. But the greatest threat is not the monsters outside the walls — it is the man who launched Project Stellar, who has now revealed his true face.

With the City delivered from the attacking hordes, Grey still has much to accomplish: visit the Bina Shea, find the Bullet Star, investigate Project Aurora, and restore the First Legion to its former glory. Most urgently, he must eliminate the Daat and cancel the deal Prometheus struck with a treacherous demon centuries ago.

Objective: neutralize the destructive effects of the Black Moon on Earth. All means authorized. All further information classified.

The Bina Shea call them a Dead Swarm — but they are alive, and human, as Prometheus always urged. Guided by Prometheus's final directive, Grey and his fellow Incarnators head for the Black Moon to complete Stellar's last mission. Accompanied by the allied Swarm of the Bina Shea, they must carry the Nucleus into the hostile depths of the anomalous planetoid — and to do so, they must retrace the steps of the long-perished First Legion and uncover the Black Moon's dark secrets.
