Nullform

In this world, everyone arrives with no memory and no limbs — everything is rented, and the System assigns tasks with punishing fines for failure. In the blind spots of the System's surveillance, lawlessness and brutality abound. You are assigned a number. You are a volitional Nullform. Adapt and survive, or be crushed by endless debt.

Number 11 — now known as Elb — was once an easy target in the Outskirts. Now his name is spoken with fear and respect, and those who considered themselves top dogs keep quiet about him for the simple reason that the dead don't speak. The time has come to venture beyond the Outskirts into Drainagetown, where even the System has no authority. Elb and his team aren't afraid to peek into the farthest and most dangerous corners of their world.

Elb has passed through the terrifying Stagnant Cesspool like a knife through butter, earning favor from the System and access to new rewards. But he has no interest in staying put in the Outskirts. He and his squad head to Drainagetown — a place teeming with even stronger groups — while Elb continues to unravel the mysteries of his world and recover fragments of a past life that wasn't entirely innocent.

If you're at the very bottom, the only direction is up. Elb and his team set their sights on the Spiders, who look down on Drainagetown from above and don't allow strangers into their domain. Memories of a past life return more frequently now, but with them come new questions. Elb will get his answers — and those who stand in his way will drown in their own blood.

Elb has long understood that life in a cage among the scum is not for him. His new, higher position in Drainagetown doesn't satisfy him — he wants to find a way out of the steel labyrinth. But even if he makes it, what awaits on the other side of the steel walls? Not everyone in his squad is prepared to follow him wherever that answer leads.

The higher you climb, the stronger and more savage the enemy. Elb's tight-knit unit has lost loyal fighters — some dead, some departed — just as they're entering a zone of deadly dangerous beasts. Nothing but death will break Elb's resolve. Ahead tower the grim walls of Zombieland.

Zombieland is fiendish and dangerous, and it draws Elb ever deeper into its decaying bowels. As he battles eternally hungry beasts, he earns status and respect among other zombie hunters. Then the System delivers an impossible Blue Light task — coordinates to Room 191-28: Pain. Nobody has ever reached it. Everyone who received the task has disappeared. Elb accepts it without hesitation.

Elb remains in Zombieland, determined to succeed where no one has before and complete the Blue Light mission. His next destination — Crontown, legendary city of true heroes — looms on the horizon. Meanwhile, some familiar faces who once left the squad reappear unexpectedly.

Elb and his crew roll toward Crontown for their first encounter with those known as the elves — the top rung of the local hierarchy, and exactly who Elb has been striving to reach. The secrets of this world's creation are gradually being revealed, and his personal goals are coming into sharper focus.

The concluding volume of the Nullform cycle. Elb must reach the Tower and come face to face with the First Higher to finally uncover the secret of his fate and the mysteries of the world he inhabits. Is he ready for what he finds — and what consequences will follow?
