A visit to London's Natural History Museum became a horror show when magic flooded Earth. Now Thomas is entombed there as a Dungeon Core, with only the creatures on display as minions. Leviathans stir at the bottom of the ocean, dragons have reclaimed the skies, and shadows are something to fear again. Can Thomas turn this former place of learning into a deathtrap, or will he fall to the bottomless appetites of supernatural beasts?

As master of his domain, Thomas can fill his dungeon with whatever creatures he chooses — from adorable prehistoric horses to monstrous dinosaurs. With the people outside getting their act together and beginning to visit regularly, things seem to be looking up. But now there's a dragon prowling the jungle. Can Thomas keep control in these trying times, or will he be ground underfoot by the titans of this new world?

The dragon prowling central London's jungle has been slain, but Thomas has demonstrated his power — and now he's attracting hostile attention. International nations seek to claim his dungeon for themselves, while former allies consider destroying him before their enemies can use it. Day by day Thomas grows stronger, creating unholy abominations and forging his companions into more menacing weapons. But as the countdown to the next stage of the merge ticks closer, even stronger monsters are beginning to stir.

Science used to rule the roost. Now it's magic. The next wave of transformation zones is poised to descend on humanity, and no one is safe. Thomas must hunt down the strongest creatures in existence, harvesting the necessary parts to prevent more cities from becoming urban hellscapes. But as a dungeon core, there is only so much he can do outside his museum.
