Adventurers seek dungeons for riches. Heroes storm great fortresses. Gods clash far above. Arek cooks lasagna and tops it with a dash of finely chopped basil. An orc who has seen more than his fair share of fighting, Arek wants nothing more than to spend his days cooking and away from the chaos of combat. But when Ming and her group of adventurers hire him as their full-time chef, his plans of avoiding violence crumble. He longs to leave his blood-soaked mistakes in his past — but old friends and foes have different ideas.

After successfully ranking up with the rest of the Happy Sunflowers, Arek and his party are ready to kick back and relax. But they can't seem to stay out of trouble — after mistakenly angering a ruthless guild, they are forced to flee Riverfall. They set off for Red Mount, hoping to wait out the storm, but an even greater threat lies in wait. Arek's old life threatens to spill into his new one as the magical runes he had destroyed slowly regain power.

The disaster at Red Mount has been averted, but the link between the monster horde and the Howler guild is too strong to ignore. While Magus seeks concrete proof to bring the guild down, the Happy Sunflowers set off to lay low — but the Blessed One curse has other ideas. Growing stronger with every passing day, the compulsion threatens to drag Arek back into the life he's spent years trying to escape. The only path forward is taking out the Howlers for good.
