Lonely Apocalypse

Lex Lurker wakes from a three-year coma to find Earth has fused with another dimension. The System evacuated all of humanity — except him. He's alone in a monster-filled world with only a snarky talking cat for company. With game-like rules and Concept-based magical powers tied to personal traits, Lex must find the will to survive, fight, and face dark truths about himself. Whispered voices call him the Hope of Humanity — but he suspects he might be the villain of this story.

Being the only human left on a monster-filled Earth isn't so bad when you're an introverted battle junkie. Lex has discovered he's pretty good at hunting monsters — though dragons are a bit out of his league. After surviving a dozen-odd kobolds who wanted him dead, it's time to pay back their leader. He's made some allies who'll help. But his talking cat companion is hiding something big — something that has the potential to make the monsters the least of his worries.

After uncovering the truth about his coma and his current situation, Lex is shocked, devastated, and broken. Learning that his benefactor might be his enemy doesn't help. But a Goddess tells him there's hope — that he can give back what was stolen and earn a second chance at becoming his real self.
