A young man wakes up inside the body of a character from his favorite isekai anime — except not the hero. He's Aren Ulvani, the villain: a once-in-a-century prodigy, master Arcanist, blessed by the god of magic, commander of an empire, and fated to a tragic end. Armed only with his knowledge of anime tropes and the body of a twelve-year-old, he has to decide whether he can rewrite a story that seems determined to play out exactly as written.

A modern young man finds himself inhabiting the body of Aren Ulvani — the villain of his favorite isekai anime. Aren is powerful: a prodigal Arcanist blessed by the god of magic, with an empire at his back. The problem is his story ends in tragedy. Can knowledge of anime tropes be enough to rewrite it?

Just as Aren settles into his academy arc, the plot throws him a curveball: something is stirring in the mountains, driving monsters toward the academy in a dangerous migration. Meanwhile, the other students treat him exactly like the villain he was written to be — all except one. And a darker future looms on the horizon.
