Reborn from an advanced techno-magic world into one where magic is still in its infancy, the protagonist finds himself in the body of a young baron with a single village to his name — surrounded by monsters and hostile aristocrats on the fringes of a young, rapidly expanding empire. What he does have is knowledge far beyond what this world has dreamt of. Nothing will stop him from using it to build his own magic empire.

Magic crystals are growing. People arrive in the village faster than room can be made for them, but at least they find plenty to do — from building the village to guarding the border against attacks by bandits and monsters. And not just any monsters: creatures that haven't been seen in this neighborhood before. Is that a coincidence? Or are rumors of something going on outside the borders of the Empire not just rumors? Whatever's behind them, it must be dealt with.

Rumors of a mysterious union of principalities are rife, the wild lands are restless, and Savino's rapid growth is drawing envious eyes all around the Novgorod Empire. But more pressing concerns demand immediate attention: installing mains water, building new dormitories, crop sowing, and gathering pearls and monster hides. There is always too much to do.

A lot happened on the visit to the capital of the Novgorod Empire, but the main business is still back in the town that has grown from a humble village. The wild lands demand attention: twenty kilometers from home to Los Santos, with stalker-bandits hanging out there. And somewhere in those wild lands may be clues about the mysterious 'Center'.

Time is running out — the 'Center' could attack at any moment. While buying supplies on an industrial scale, developing agriculture, and working on new technologies, one problem remains unsolved: the Los Santos problem. The closest city in the wild lands is waiting for the signal to attack. The answer is not to wait.

The Novgorod Empire is falling apart. The town will soon have to get by on its own — which isn't all bad, with plenty of pieces to pick up, from factories to fortresses. But scavenging isn't a long-term strategy. The future still depends on strong magic and new technology.

Savino is growing fast — more towns and villages are coming under control, the army of mages is expanding, and new crystals are being planted. More of everything is being made, and warehouses are bursting at the seams. Other power centers are taking notice. Some send threats, others just send troops. But every new confrontation is a step closer to the goal of building a magic empire.
