Tanner never expected to get a crafting class, nor to be expelled from his family because of it. But he won't let that stop him from growing stronger and proving his worth. Setting out for the Wilds — the untamed lands of the world — he promises himself he will become a settler and flourish against all odds. As a Master of Crafts, he has all the professions and tools he needs to build a homestead and survive. Not only that, but he seems to have a certain way of drawing the sapient denizens of the forest to him. All that's left is building his house, growing his gardens, and experimenting with every crafting profession he can.

Tanner has taken an adoptive daughter, Amara is pregnant, the evil dungeon has been defeated, and his ability to enchant has reached a whole new level. But much more is in store. The Wilds are changing and events are happening throughout the biomes. Races are displaced and Tanner must turn his homestead into a budding village, ramping up production to meet the demands of trade. New professions are introduced, experiments are had, and with each trade comes new fame — and the question of how to protect the peace and safety of his friends and family.

Change is coming to the Wilds. From homestead to town, Tanner has a multitude of new faces and races to take care of. With his peace broken, he'll have to find a balance between managing the town, letting his aides do their jobs, and growing his skills. A new town venture draws the kingdoms closer to the Wilds, but not all are happy with his success. The kitsune are growing agitated and security is heightened — how far will some overreach to take what isn't theirs?

After Tanner awoke to an empty house covered in dust, he begins to understand how much changes each time he levels up — how fast the world moves without him, how quickly his kids grow. He can't stop growing stronger, and the world needs him. Leveling up is now causing increasing destruction, forcing him to start a new hidden homestead far from his town. But when a cult rises to power and corrupted monsters begin encroaching on the city, he must drop his peaceful ways and prepare for a war that only he can finish.
