Hidden Class: Pacifist

Roth used to be a successful gamer with a short fuse and a nasty temper — until his rage cost him his friends, job, family, and freedom. After four years in prison, he leaves as a more peaceful man. But sins have a way of catching up. When Roth finds himself locked inside the new MMORPG AstroTerra with no way out, his refusal to hurt anyone or anything inside the game becomes both his greatest constraint and his defining principle.

Roth's journey continues in the second book. After befriending the ratans, foxes, badgers, corvids, and boars of the woods, it's time to venture to one of the big cities of AstroTerra: Hilsford. But instead of a peaceful city to rest in, Roth finds a competitive environment ridden with mobsters and slavers. To make matters worse, his enemies are picking up his scent, and the pressure is on.

Things are going well for Roth. He is well-connected with several powerful NPCs in the game, has a unique class, and has found his purpose. His friends and family have even managed to reach him inside the game, so he no longer feels alone. But good fortune attracts envious eyes. As Roth's achievements cause ripples in AstroTerra, he enters the radar of some of the most influential organizations in the game. The clock is ticking, and the siege around him is tightening.

Roth finally manages to leave the secret city of Antioch and start his life in the game anew — but when Loki decides to pull the plug on him, he has to speed up his plans and find a way to escape his enemies' clutches. By banding together with friends and allies, he may still make it. But how will he remain peaceful when the world around him is at war?

After turning AstroTerra upside down, Roth ventures to the inhospitable Rock Canyon, a land of cliffs and slavers. He finds a mysterious city filled with exciting sights, makes new friends, and discovers a place where he can finally craft and play peacefully. Regardless of how much Roth tries to lay low, trouble keeps finding him.

After the elections patch, guilds have taken over much of AstroTerra and are now focused on the mysterious location known as The Core. Roth has been making the most of his character's strengths — multiple quests to wrap up and a spot in the top 100 of the game. Freedom seems just within reach. But hidden forces may be conspiring to keep Roth in his digital prison forever. The epic conclusion to Roth's journey.
