In 2286, Alex Bell has spent 20 years in the full-dive VRMMO Eternal Dominion. He had risen to vice guild leader, with his guild on the cusp of standing alongside the top guilds. Then fate ripped it all away at the last moment. Alex awakens to find his 18-year-old self looking back at him in the mirror. It's 2266 and Eternal Dominion is about to launch. This time things will be different. This time he will succeed — and make sure his friends and family are along for the ride.

Xeal and friends continue their journey to the top of Eternal Dominion. As Xeal searches out potential leaders for his guild and bolsters its ranks, others are moving as well. Will he and his guild weather the storm, or will they lose their footing before they can even really begin?

After overcoming an assault by Abysses End, Alex/Xeal and his friends have shown they can stand firm. Now they must navigate Abysses End's advances in reality without isolating themselves from the VR gaming community, while the nobles of Nium have begun taking a vested interest in Alex's progress. Will Alex/Xeal and his friends navigate these diplomatic situations, or find themselves dancing to the tune of others?

Alex/Xeal tried to let things come to him — and things escalated quickly, almost ending in disaster. Now it's time to make his will known and assert himself against those who wish to do the same to him. As forces from both reality and Eternal Dominion try to manipulate Alex/Xeal for their own designs, will he succeed, or find himself overwhelmed by the plans of others?

Abysses End has left for the time being, but they left behind a parting gift. Meanwhile in Eternal Dominion, the major workshops are stirring up trouble for FAE to waylay their progress. All while Alex/Xeal tries to advance himself and his guild further in both reality and the virtual world.

Xeal/Alex has once again thwarted the designs of the major workshops and can return his attention to the quests Prince Victor has assigned him. Meanwhile in reality, Abysses End has returned with their next group of young members, and Alex must deal with the issues they cause — all while preparing himself and others for the push to tier-5.

Having completed his tier-5 trial, Alex/Xeal can finally travel to the other continents. Meanwhile a guild in trouble hasn't given up on securing his assistance, and another quest from Prince Victor keeps his plate full. Alex/Xeal will find himself very busy balancing multiple diplomatic missions while his guild continues to have members face their tier-5 challenges.

Having picked up a trio of young women in need of an escort home, Xeal sets off to return them to their tribes in the beast-man lands, hoping to strike deals with the various tribes along the way. All while Abysses End has come once again to pay Alex a visit in reality — leading up to the last days before Alex and his friends move out of state.

It's time for Alex to officially move into his new home in Colorado, as new associates join him in developing FAE in reality. Meanwhile in Eternal Dominion, he continues his quest to gain the approval of Nium's nobility in the final year before he is to be wed to Princess Enye, while also getting to know two other princesses from foreign nations — and tracking down a pair of phoenixes.

In reality, Alex welcomes all of his friends back from their month abroad as they prepare to truly settle into his new home together. Meanwhile in Eternal Dominion, the time has finally come for Xeal to meet with the reclusive elven queen to speak about the future relations between men and elves. Will the talks go smoothly, or will Xeal have to deal with a few unwanted wrinkles?

The time for wedding bells has arrived in Eternal Dominion. Xeal must make his final preparations for the unique experience of marrying three princesses from very different backgrounds and families — with three more waiting brides and their duties as nobles to take care of after the wedding.

With his weddings and honeymoons behind him, it is time for Xeal/Alex to return to his climb to the top — only a new force seems to have other ideas. In a battle where willpower can only carry you so far, just how far will Xeal/Alex's will carry him?

With his children almost due in both reality and Eternal Dominion, Alex/Xeal finds himself needing to make the most out of the time he has. The world stops for no man, and if he stands still now, he will watch his advantages start to disappear — especially as the ordeal involved in reaching tier-6 approaches just as fast as his children seem to be.

With the reality of what it means to be a father fresh in his mind, Alex/Xeal returns his focus to the tasks before him — balancing all the aspects of his life and responsibilities while finally returning to clearing out the Vault of Ucnuc. He truly begins the long climb to tier-7 and the threshold between the pros and the casual players of Eternal Dominion.

Join Alex/Xeal and company as they continue their journey to the top of Eternal Dominion — fending off ambushes, testing alliances, forging new ones, and dealing with family matters. Xeal finds himself facing the largest quest he has ever seen in this life or his last.

The time has finally come for Xeal and FAE to face off against the final challenges of the Vault of Ucnuc and attempt to close the chapter on the dungeon once and for all — while dealing with a pair of lingering issues and the approach of Christmas and New Year in reality.

Fresh off of clearing the Vault of Ucnuc, Xeal and company find themselves dealing with the implications of the revelations that came after it. At the same time they continue their push to tier-7, while Xeal returns part of his focus to his quest for godhood in Eternal Dominion.

War has come much sooner than Alex/Xeal had planned, and with it comes the chaos that always surrounds such times. Things in reality won't simply stop to accommodate what's needed in Eternal Dominion. With no choice but to face everything head on, Alex/Xeal will push himself to the limit.

Faced with three intense struggles on three different continents — with three of his wives' families in the crosshairs of others — Alex/Xeal must find a way to balance it all. Having reached tier-7 and gained new tricks, he musters as much of FAE's resources as he can to fight each battle, while Abysses End and others are keen to capitalize on any opportunity. And reality isn't about to follow the schedule he'd like either, with congressional hearings surrounding Kate's bill and another trip to California for a graduation.

With the war in the Huáng empire halted, the time has come for Alex/Xeal to shift focus — trying to solve the situation in the Muthia Empire before having to devote everything to the war in Nium. Meanwhile, his obligations in reality are ever present as he prepares for the results of Kate's hard work, both in the professional and personal aspects of their lives.

The time has finally come to push forward and see what the likes of Habia, Paidhia, Abysses End and others who wish to stand in Xeal's and Nium's way can do about it. Though it may be Alex/Xeal's own obligations that threaten to derail the plans that have been laid — things can never be simple for him.

With new equipment and new commitments, Xeal/Alex returns to the battle to unite the entirety of Nium's continent under one banner. New mysteries continue to force Alex/Xeal and his team to reconsider many things as they adjust their plans and continue to press forward — all while the holidays come once more.

There always seemed to be another battle to fight for Alex/Xeal, but this time it is to achieve one of the key goals he has had since finding himself awakened in his own past almost three years ago. Even with his stats and abilities placing him near the peak of Eternal Dominion's power, there are still threats that can ruin all his plans — some dwelling deep below the surface of the game, others existing in reality where he has no supernatural powers to aid him.

With the wars in Nium settled and just the rumblings of the subterranean realm to contend with, it seems Xeal may finally find some time to rest — though not for long, as he presses forward to ensure the future he seeks can come to be. The world of Eternal Dominion starts to show its real fangs as players begin to race closer to tier-8 and the level lead Xeal has fought to maintain begins to narrow.

As Alex's family and friends prepare to celebrate Christmas in Colorado, the conflict in Eternal Dominion with the dark elves enters a new stage as Xeal makes a few icy discoveries. Shaky alliances and truces will be tested, and even Xeal knows he can't claim to have clean hands in some matters as he focuses on moving forward — because those he faces are merciless, and he will need to be too.

Sometimes plans must be changed at will, and one must adapt — but one can become lost in the actions of the moment, failing to see what lies beyond the next move. When working alongside others, this can create disharmonies as each makes adjustments that don't pair well. Dark elves, adjusting to a new home, and deep distrust of Abysses End and all their allies — Alex/Xeal has plenty to contend with.

With tier-8 in striking distance, Xeal and FAE turn their attention toward being first to reach that summit. Still, there are those who seek to undermine them — internally and externally — and Xeal is faced with many warning signs of the dangers of his path. Will he find success in crossing the line he never crossed in his first life, or will all his work end in failure?

Reaching the peak is something to celebrate, but only if you can acclimate to being there. Reaching tier-8 has come with complications that no one foresaw, and Alex/Xeal's body and mind may not be able to handle it. Yet despite all of that, life doesn't stand still for anyone, and few care about the plight of others. In the penultimate book of his tale, Alex/Xeal struggles to find his path forward and secure his, his family's, and FAE's futures.
