End of the World

Seventy years ago, portals appeared on Earth and humanity was forced to choose: enter or die. Those who survived all twelve planets would be allowed to return home. Humanity succeeded — but the cost was enormous, and Nate lost everyone he cared about. After stepping through the final portal, Nate discovers Earth is part of the system and what remains of humanity is too weak to go home. A new portal appears and takes him back in time to the day the end began, giving him a chance to fix the mistakes of the past and ensure humanity — and his family — survives.

The Mystery has made a second appearance, heralding desolation. With less than six months until the planet's destruction, Nate and his friends scramble to get everyone moving on to the second planet in the System of Twelve. Laybor is dangerous — not safely traversable below the 30th rank — and things only get worse from there. News of Portal Reavers spreads, forcing Nate and his allies to track down and end the threat before it derails their plans. Meanwhile, another Dark Guild from Nate's past makes its move, demanding he fight harder than ever to protect his family and the human race.
