For all his twenty-one years, Zephyr has been a cultivator of the Carefree Path and a martial artist. Plans to become a monk are upended when the Grand Sage summons him to the Schools of Elemental Magic. Gifted with the Codex of Ascension, Zephyr intends to master the various elements in record time. Alongside two students with mysteriously similar origins, his school year promises to be more than he ever imagined.

After completing his first year at the Tempest School, Zephyr ventures into the realms protected by the Phoenix Knights to learn Inferno magic. Joined by Nella and Vincent, he will delve deeper into the mystery of his origins and discover what it truly means to be Caruthas reborn.

But they quickly learn their time at the Frost School will be unlike anything before — blight titans of immense power, infected by the Shadow's taint, have arisen in the forms of Ostar the Beast God. Even one of these cursed titans could spell the end of the world. And beyond the titans, a darker question looms: Grand Sage Avora, their mentor, has been lying to them.
