Draka

A single slip is all it takes. When a young bouldering instructor falls from a rock wall and wakes up in the body of a dragon, she has to rethink all the rules. Adopting the name Draka, the newly minted dragoness explores the forests, mountains, and villages surrounding Karakan. To survive and thrive, she must spread her wings, discover the joys of growing her hoard, handle the draconic voice encouraging violent means, and overcome her intimidating shape to form alliances with the human adventurers she meets.

In the months since Draka woke up as a dragon in another world, she's formed friendships, built alliances, navigated magic and politics, and discovered how to wield her draconic abilities. But the dragon's mind inside her own is growing stronger — a near-constant force with its own memories and desires. A betrayal by someone she thought she could trust leaves Draka battling not only the dragon's desire to kill but also her own craving for vengeance. She must learn to control her baser urges and truly embrace her dual nature, before she destroys the remaining links to her humanity.

Months after awakening in a new world and body, Draka finds herself nearly settled and, dare she say it, happy. Now's the time to grow her hoard, flex her wings, and explore the limits of her magic. But her found family's dreams of owning property stand between them and their happily-ever-after: the prejudices of their new class, local political machinations, and the mysterious criminal known as the Night Blossom. Draka must employ everything she's learned as both a human and a dragon to keep those she loves safe.
