Dragon Sorcerer

Nico, a young dragon of barely fifty, is rudely chased from his home by a group of murderous adventurers. Of his entire clutch, only he and one sister remained, but now he is alone. Isolated and hungry, Nico's magic awakens, bonding him with Cami, a brave young woman. In order to hide from the adventurers' pursuit, Nico takes on human form. However, once they discover that both he and Cami have magical ability they are required by law to attend the Imperial Academy. Of course, he has to hide his true nature, which isn't always easy, given a dragon-sized ego.

Trust is a valuable commodity and Nico has very little of it to spare. Discovering the condition of other dragons in the empire rocked Nico. Now he has to decide how to respond — is it time to spread his wings and fly, or will Nico double down and learn the power these humans have to teach him? It isn't really trust when both sides are trying to use the other.

Nico's understanding of the world continues to grow. He has encountered Draconis and realized that he can't count on help from the great wyrm. Now Nico must learn to ride the storm and add his second class. Evolution awaits as do new threats and new allies.

Nico has faced threats from men, threats from dragons, and horrors beyond the physical world, but he's tired of reacting. He's going to take the initiative, and that includes freeing the enslaved dragons and establishing Scale Nation, a place for all dragons. Of course, that's just a stepping stone to restoring the proper rulership of dragons. Significant steps forward for Nico and Cami come alongside a deeper understanding of the connection between the past and the present, the gods and the dragons.

The dragons have been freed and now the stage is set for the final battle with the horrors. Nico will have to grow stronger and grow his kingdom of dragons if they are going to stand against what is coming. Ileria is theirs, but only the rise of a new dragon emperor will be enough to keep it intact. Nico must seek the Horned Crown.
