The gods prophesied to die refused to take part in Ragnarok, threatening the annihilation of the nine worlds. Yggdrasil — the World Tree — was forced to act, dispersing its seeds across the planes. One seed landed in a strange forest called the Feverwood, in a world of humans, elves, orcs, and other strange creatures. To flourish and carry on the World Tree's legacy, this young dungeon must grow its roots, attract adventurers, and absorb their essence as they succumb to its challenges. This is the story of the Tree Dungeon.

The gods prophesied to die refused to take part in Ragnarok. Yggdrasil — the World Tree — was forced to act, dispersing its seeds across the planes. One seed landed in a strange forest called the Feverwood, in a world of humans, elves, orcs, and other creatures utterly unlike its Norse homeland. To flourish and carry on the World Tree's legacy, this young dungeon must grow its roots, attract adventurers, and absorb their essence as they succumb to its challenges. This is the story of the Tree Dungeon.

After a brush with death, the Tree Dungeon managed to expose the usurper god Izguril and imprison him within itself. With the goblin village thriving inside its bounds and more adventurers arriving daily, the dungeon seems secure — but a dark vision confirmed by the goddess of foresight warns of Invaders arriving in nine years to raze the world. The dungeon must expand, add more rooms and treasures, and attract ever more powerful adventurers. It must become more than a mere dungeon — it must become the Tree Guardian.

More powerful than ever after defeating the Dungeon Below, the Tree Dungeon decides to rush the inevitable invasion rather than wait eight years. First, it must prepare a new level to fight the incoming monsters, learn everything about these creatures' behavior and weaknesses, and rally every tribe and kingdom to fight as one. The fate of all Yehan depends on it.
