Noah didn't expect much from entering the VR world of Asgard's Fall. Even the experimental full-immersion technology didn't deter him — it beat living in a nursing home and offered a chance to feel young again. But something is wrong with the game. The gods running it don't behave like AIs, and some players act as though they know secrets Noah doesn't. Forced to use skills abandoned a lifetime ago alongside new digital abilities that resemble ancient magic, Noah must unravel the mysteries of Asgard's Fall — and confront an ancient threat that has forced a hidden world into the light.

Noah enters the VR world of Asgard's Fall hoping for a chance to feel young again. But something is wrong — the gods running the game don't behave like AIs, and some players seem to know secrets about it that Noah doesn't. Falling back on skills abandoned long ago and new digital abilities that resemble ancient magic, Noah must unravel the game's mysteries and face an ancient threat surfacing from a world long hidden from humanity.

After escaping the Underworld and reuniting with his daughter, Noah arrives on an alternate Earth created by the Roman gods — and immediately needs to find his missing son while dodging divine machinations. The Norns, Norse goddesses of Fate, are determined to keep history unchanged even at the cost of a bloodbath. Pursued at sea by pirates and an ancient demigod, Noah must choose a side before the drums of war begin to beat and Tartarus rises with the Roman gods.
