Waking up to discover the apocalypse had begun — and that he was no longer human — was not how he thought his day would go. Apparently a mindless monster for the last several months, he now navigates a city destroyed by massive black towers rising like enormous thorns. The monsters and bizarre landscape aren't the strangest part of this apocalypse — not if the visual hallucination displaying game-like stats counts.

Discovering that the system raising his stats might actually be aware left him speechless — literally, after a Stroke Ailment shut him up. New party members, more dangerous fights, and foreboding evolutions all threaten to upset his one goal since the very beginning: survive. But things are only going to get more complicated.
