Running a restaurant was hard, but it filled Clive's life with meaning — running through a portal was easy, but it filled his life with demons. Weak in a world full of strength, Clive and his friends rely on grit and determination as they navigate a brutal, war-torn land of magic in search of a way home. There is a problem, though: Clive's been cursed. A demonic knife wound catapults them into a race against time to find a cure, fighting their way across Falritas in need of friends and levels like there's no tomorrow. Set in a chaotic land ruled by ruthless gods, complete with game mechanics, a progression system, and empire-building, where demons, werewolves, dwarves, and elves roam.

Running a restaurant was hard, but it filled Clive's life with meaning — running through a portal was easy, but it filled his life with demons. Weak in a world full of strength, all he and his friends have is their grit and determination to survive as they navigate a brutal, war-torn land of magic in search of a way home. Clive's been cursed — a demonic knife wound catapults them into a race against time to find a cure. Fighting their way across Falritas, they need friends and levels like there's no tomorrow. Because there might not be.

It took everything to defeat the feared Natom Hilgresh — turns out, that was the easy part. Now the clock is ticking for Clive to return to Far Reach and prepare for the second coming. Navigating unforgiving terrain across the war-torn country of Kalabri, vast armies of Destruction and Justice swarm the land, killing everyone in their path. But there is strength in numbers, and by offering a safe haven to the displaced, there's a real chance of binding them together into a force dangerous enough to slaughter its way home. If there is one thing you can say about war — if it doesn't kill you, it will give you plenty of XP.

Funny thing about survival: no matter how good things are looking, you've got to keep doing it. Safe and sound back in Far Reach, Clive and his eclectic army finally get to take a breather — maybe even cook a meal once the restaurant is built. But their enemies are more determined than ever, and if Far Reach doesn't make its presence felt they're going to get swept away in the coming tide. Armies gather all around them, and the full council of gods has begun to take notice.

For Clive, death isn't the end — but with almost a year until his body is reborn, it is a dangerous setback. With armies to lead, alliances to maintain, and enemies ranging from the gods to the imminent return of Natom Hilgresh, he needs a workaround: an Avatar. Achieving this will require sacrifice and hard work from his followers, while Clive practices with his ethereal powers. But doing so will change everything. Secrets will be revealed, hell will break loose, and chaos will rain on Falritas in a war that reaches every corner of the land.

Two gods are dead at Clive's hand, and now he's imprisoned awaiting judgment. No amount of brute strength or obstinance will wriggle him out of this delicate dilemma — it's going to require intelligence, charisma, and tact in bundles. Or he could take a deal that nobody thinks he can live up to. With the fate of Falritas hanging in the balance and the fated return of Hakan, the original god of Creation, Clive has no choice but to take the deal.

Sure, the universe-shattering powers are welcome — but there's always a price. You don't inherit the ability to bend creation to your will and ride off into the sunset. Every power-hungry force in the universe wants a piece of the action, especially the former God of Creation. Clive never asked for the title or the mess that comes with it. But if he wants to achieve his dream of being left alone, it's going to cost him. And that price is pain — so much pain.
