Broken Interface

The devastating Alpha Event rewrote the laws of reality, transforming cities into hellscapes filled with flesh-eating zombies and worse. Each survivor was supposed to receive an interface to help them level up and navigate this new reality. Daniel's is broken. Stranded in a hotel room with nothing but a hangover, he discovers strange new powers that might enable him to unite the survivors around him and carve out a place in this cruel new world.

Daniel and Ivey have fought their way up the tower and destroyed the mana octopod terrorizing the top floor — but their job is not done. Monsters still lurk on the floors below and in the streets outside. Daniel must draw on all his advantages: his power to shape plants into devastating traps, the strength gained from consuming zombie cores, and the community he has helped save. All of it will be necessary to carve out more of the world for the survivors of the Alpha Event.
