Gamers believe they are beta-testing the world's first true virtual reality fantasy game — but is the magical world of Preu Treya actually real? A daring adventure filled with swords, sorcery, and questions that resist easy answers.

The players gather, craving adventure. Meanwhile, the game's creator searches desperately for his missing partner — possibly the only person who can stop the digital world from crumbling. And the Scouts remain an enigma: who are they, where do they come from, and are they a threat to Preu Treya or its salvation?

With Fen as his guide, Isaac enters Blades VR hoping to find Sebastian and fix the game before it crashes. Inside, NPCs have suddenly turned murderous against every player they encounter. And at the foot of a dark tower, a godling stands surrounded by mages determined to prevent her from ever leaving.
