Atlantis Rising

A war was fought and humanity lost. Demons now rule the ruins of human civilization, and the surviving people live under their conquerors' yoke. In one nearly uninhabitable part of the conquered world, a young woman comes of age walking unknowingly in the shadow of destiny. The demons believe only the final cleanup of scattered human pests remains before the world is truly theirs. They have one last lesson to learn.

The fledgling community of Atlantis has begun rebuilding after being driven from its home by the demonic hordes. But for Elanthielle, the war is still out there. Plagued by dreams that may carry real weight — and driven by a burning need to strike back at the demons that took everything — Elan becomes convinced that something vital is about to alter the course of humanity's fate, something far deadlier than anything Earth has yet faced. Higher powers have been watching, and with everything else lost, they make a play of their own.

Wars are not won by battles — they are won by determination and a refusal to surrender. When humanity waged war with the demons, its greatest warriors won every battle and still lost the war. Now it is the demons' turn to learn that same lesson, as the final battle — the only one that truly matters — draws near.
