Ajax's Ascension

Reborn on Gryndor with the mythical trait [Divine Witness], Ajax swears to live a life of no regrets — seizing every opportunity, fighting every monster, and plundering every treasure. But humans are considered one of the weakest sentient races, perpetually divided. To see the vast richness of the world, Ajax must battle for life and respect, gaining levels and forcing other races to acknowledge humanity's worth.

Returning from his time in the city militia, Ajax finds his village destroyed and his mentor injured at the whims of a spoiled noble. Unable to act as he is now, he uses a nearby dungeon to train before heading to the Capital. But once there, what will he find — a way to heal his mentor, allies to grow stronger, or nobles who want to exploit him for their own ends? Perhaps all of the above.

Ajax's life in the capital takes a new twist as he joins the Academy. Daily interactions with his generation's most talented peers, regular dungeon dives testing himself against the kingdom's strongest challenges, and experiments with alchemy — all while his family prepares to move to the capital. Will everything proceed smoothly, or will his climb through society face new obstacles?

Ajax's family has joined him in the capital as he adapts to his new position as a Baron, learning to do more than just avoid noble politics while establishing his own House. At the Academy, his talents continue to outshine his generation despite his lower station. With the upcoming international tournament in The Republic — where Ajax must reveal his abilities for the first time on a world stage — the dangers have only grown. Can he stand among the powerhouses of other kingdoms?

Ajax made his name on the international stage by winning the under-fifty tournament. Now he continues his journey outside Gryndor's borders to delve the dungeons of Sylvanthal and Deepwood. How will he get along with his former competition? How will foreign nobles react to his presence? Ajax keeps pushing himself to fight in dungeons far above his level in his relentless quest for power.

Ajax has finished his delves and returns home to consolidate his gains — only to face a new challenge requiring his entire family's help. He is granted a duchy, including his home village and the city of Lessis, with Gryndor's royalty providing strong support. Ajax does his best to develop his new duchy and manage the nobles, while also hosting visits from both Sylvanthal and the Empire. Can he keep peace and order in his own lands?
